22nd Annual Christmas
Program Held on December 17
On December 17, 2000
approximately 300 young people attended the 22nd Annual Christmas
Program at the Yerwood Center. The program was hosted by Cecelia and
John DaRosa. and sponsored by The Coalition of Concerned Citizens in the
Community. It included singing of Christmas carols, comments by several
leaders in the local community, and at the end of the program each child
received a Christmas gift.

Stamford Mayor Malloy Opens New Computer Laboratory
on November 28

Stamford's Mayor Malloy
hosted the opening of the new Yerwood Computer Laboratory on November
28, 2000. The lab is the result of a collaborative effort of ARI, the
New Covenant House, and the Yerwood Center. It will be used during the
morning and early afternoon hours for adult job training and after
school by students for computer training.
IBM donated new computers
and funds to purchase training software. Hyperion donated additional
used computers for the lab.
Last month the computer
laboratory was re-painted by UBS Warburg and renovated with new
carpeting.

UBS WARBURG VOLUNTEER "FIX UP"
DAY
On November 10, 2000
approximately 40 employees from UBS Warburg spent the afternoon
painting, installing new ceiling tiles, and helping fix up the Yerwood
Center. This is the second time in the last two months they have spent
a day to help the revitalization of the Yerwood Center.
